CARL CRAWFORD SIGNED TO THE BOSTON REDSOX.

Carl Crawford is reportedly the newest member of the Boston Red Sox. Days after the announcement was official for the signing of Adrian Gonzalez, multiple sources in Major League Baseball as well as around the Boston Red Sox organization state that Carl Crawford has agreed to join the Boston Red Sox for a deal that spans 7 years and is worth $142 million.
No formal announcement has been made, but Internet rumors are running rampant from strong sources including WEEI in Boston as well as ESPN.
Crawford was drafted by the Devil Rays in the second round (52nd overall) of the 1999 MLB Draft.
The Tampa Bay chapter of the Baseball Writers' Association of America voted Crawford the Most Valuable Player for the Rays in 2010.
Following the conclusion of the season, Crawford was given the Gold Glove Award, as well as the Silver Slugger Award
